February 28 is the Last Day For Property Tax Bill Discounts
CLEARWATER, FL – Time is running out to save money on property taxes. Wednesday, February 28 is the last day property owners can receive a one percent discount on their 2017 property tax bill.
For Pinellas County property owners, your best bet to beat the deadline is to pay online here. There is no extra charge to pay by e-check. While you’re online, property owners can also sign up for paperless billing to receive future property tax bills by email.
Beginning March 1, property owners must pay their bill in full. The final deadline to pay 2017 property taxes is March 31, 2018. Taxes become delinquent on April 1.
“We encourage property owners to pay property taxes online using a free e-check,” said Pinellas County Tax Collector Charles W. Thomas. “Online payments are convenient, secure, and easy, and our payment system walks you through how to correctly enter the information from a paper check.”
The Tax Collector’s Office collects and distributes taxes on behalf of local taxing authorities, such as the County, cities, and School Board, who set their own tax rates. To view or pay your tax bill or to review payment history, visit our online payment center.
