New time limit for driver license knowledge exams
Beginning January 5, 2015, customers will have 60 minutes to complete the knowledge exam
CLEARWATER, FL, DECEMBER 24, 2014 – Beginning Monday, January 5, 2015, Florida residents taking the driver license knowledge exam will have a new 60 minute time limit to complete the 50-question electronic test. The new time limit is a technical directive from the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles.
Residents must pass the knowledge exam along with an in-vehicle road test to obtain a Florida driver license. The knowledge exam is multiple choice and includes questions about road signs and driver safety.
Residents are strongly encouraged to study the recently revised driver license manual to prepare properly for the exam. Handbooks and practice tests are available at http://floridadmvbooklet.com.
