Announcing Concealed Weapon License Fee Reduction

CLEARWATER, FLORIDA, JUNE 29, 2017 – The Pinellas County Tax Collector’s office is pleased to announce that fees to apply for or renew a concealed weapon license will be reduced effective July 1, 2017.
Beginning July 1st, the first-time concealed weapon license application fee will be reduced to $119 from the current price of $124 and renewals will be reduced to $57 from the current price of $62. Both of these fees include the tax collector convenience fee, which provides fingerprinting services and an ID photo.
“Offering fast-track concealed weapon license application and renewal processing has been a great addition to our service portfolio,” said Charles W. Thomas, Pinellas County Tax Collector. “I have received extremely positive feedback from residents that have used this convenient option. It is my pleasure to announce that fees are being reduced for this popular service.”
Earlier this year, the Pinellas County Tax Collector announced the new renewal service where concealed weapon licenses renewals are now processed and issued the same day of the customer’s visit. First-time concealed weapon license applications are still processed and issued by the Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services.
