Tax Collector’s Self-Service Kiosks on Brief Hiatus for Upgrades

PINELLAS COUNTY, FL –The popular self-service kiosks located in Pinellas County Tax Collector offices and select Publix stores will be temporarily out of service on Wednesday, September 16, to undergo vendor upgrades. Customers who need to renew their vehicle registration during that time are encouraged to use the online service at

The kiosks are currently at four Tax Collector offices and two Publix locations throughout the county. A seventh kiosk is anticipated to open in Tarpon Springs by the end of the week. Using touch screen technology, the kiosks allow customers to pay by credit card and renew their vehicle registration and decal in less than two minutes.

It is expected that the kiosk outage will be brief. The upgrade will decrease paper waste and prevent printing issues, improving overall customer service.
