PINELLAS COUNTY, FL— Pinellas County Tax Collector Charles W. Thomas is proud to announce the addition of a 7th self-service kiosk at the Tarpon Mall Publix in Tarpon Springs, FL. The brand-new kiosk, located at 40932 US Highway 19 N., Tarpon Springs, allows customers to pay by credit card and renew their vehicle registration in under two minutes.

With the addition of this seventh kiosk, self-service options for registration renewals are now evenly distributed throughout the county – at Tax Collector offices and select Publix stores. The ultimate goal behind this kiosk project is to create convenient and sophisticated self-service options for as many Pinellas County residents as possible. These kiosks are the result of a partnership between the Tax Collector’s office, Publix, and Intellectual Technology, Inc.

The new Tarpon kiosk comes from a collaboration between Tarpon Springs Mayor Chris Alahouzos and Tax Collector Charles W. Thomas. Looking for ways to better serve residents of northern Pinellas County, Mayor Alahouzos mentioned that a self-service kiosk in Tarpon Springs would be a beneficial solution for the community.

“At the Tax Collector’s office, every decision we make is customer-focused,” said Thomas. “Providing excellent customer service is our constant priority and when Mayor Alahouzos said he’d like a kiosk in his city, I went to work to make that happen.  We continuously aim to find new and innovative ways to improve service for Pinellas County residents.”

“I’d like to thank the Tax Collector for bringing a kiosk to the Publix in Tarpon Springs to provide better service to our residents,” said Alahouzos. “We are very appreciative.  It’s very convenient to be able to get your shopping done and get tax collector services at the same time.”

The kiosks can be used to renew personal automobiles, pickup trucks, motorcycles, utility trailers, and camper trailers. Customers are guided through the kiosk process by voice prompts available in English or Spanish. They are quick and easy to use, and there is a nominal 2.3% credit or debit card transaction fee included in the transaction total.
